Brian May, Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott will be holding a booksigning next month to mark the relese to paperback of "Bang! The Complete Historry of the Universe. (Only copies of the book bought that day will be signed.)

QUEEN guitarist and top star gazer Dr Brian May is to call into Paignton next month.

The musician and astrophysicist is coming to the Bay to sign copies of the paperback edition of international bestseller Bang — The Complete History of the Universe. He will be joined by Sky at Night presenters Sir Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott on September 5 at 2.30pm.

Organiser Matthew Clarke said he was expecting high demand for the event. "I'm delighted that the authors have agreed to come to Paignton" he said. "I've had to hire the Palace Theatre not because they will be doing a talk but because we are expecting so many people. For Chris it will be a case of coming back to the Bay where he grew up. It should certainly be an event to remember and we are expecting to draw in large crowds so come early.

The event starts at 2.30pm for signed copies of Bang only.
